Great Waltham Cricket Club Under 11's v Chelmsford on Sun 08 Jun 2008 at 9.30am
Great Waltham Cricket Club Lost by 99 runs

Match report Tommy Clampett was Captain for Great Waltham, we won the toss and chose to bowl.

Brad opened the bowling downhill for Great Waltham, very good bowling only giving one run away.
Aaron was bowling up hill for the second over for Great Waltham giving a maiden over. Brad followed for his second keeping it tight.
Aaron done his second over giving a four and a couple more runs away. Tommy done his very first over starting very well for Tommy. Alex R came into bowl giving a run away but a very good tight over. Tommy done his second over giving a four away but the batsmen were starting to get the used to our bowling now. Alex R bowled his second and Great Waltham’s 8th over giving not many runs away. Ryan C came into the bowling with his first over.
After Ryan, Divij had his first over. It was getting hard to keep the batsman from scoring now. Ryan C came in for his second over. After that Divij came in for his second and Great Waltham’s twelfth over. Brad came back into the attack for his third over and got a wicket. Well Done Brad. One of Chelmsford’s opening batsmen got his half a century. Well Done. Aaron came running in to bowl his third over and got another maiden. After Aaron’s third Alex R came and bowled his third over, great bowling Alex.
Then Ryan C bowled his third and final over.
Alex R bowled his final over and not many runs given. After Alex’s final over Aaron done his final and gave the opening batsmen his hundred, we don’t see many of these in Under 11’s! Brad done his last over just before the end looking like he would take a wicket. Tommy done his third over and the very final over of the innings. Well-bowled great Waltham and well-batted Chelmsford. Total to chase167 for 1. We made some silly mistakes in the field letting Chelmsford get cheap runs. Great Waltham would have to work hard to chase this total.

Great Waltham started well in there batting with Ryan C and Alex R opening the batting. But unfortunately, we lost Alex R after some great shots, Tommy came next into bat. After a couple of overs, Ryan got out and Divij came in at number four but got out later due to some good bowling so that meant that Tommy and Brad were batting together. Tommy was the next one out after some excellent spin bowling. Matty and Brad batted for a long time together, Brad hit a four and then another, whilst running for a good two Matty got run out in the 17th over meaning Aaron came in to join Brad but shortly after Brad got bowled out so Ryan B came into bat until the end with Aaron.
Very final over gave Chelmsford a maiden over and Gt Waltham’s final score of 53 for 6 meant a defeat.

Well done for both teams and well done all the boys! We can sit back and say that if nothing else we did not give our wickets away.
