Great Waltham Cricket Club Ground Hire

The Great Waltham cricket pitch and pavilion are available to hire. Please contact Gary Bloom, the Club Secretary at waltham_charm@hotmail.com if you are interested.

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Great Waltham CC reserves the right to terminate any hire agreement at any stage.
  • Hire charges for 2025 will be £200 a day, which will include a prepared wicket and ground, and use of the pavilion
  • The hire charge for pitch and pavilion can be paid by cash, internet banking or by card machine at the club bar before or on the day of the hiring in advance of the match starting.
  • On the arrangement of the ground hire, a security deposit of £100 is required. Failure to conform to the ground usage policy will result in the forfeit of the security deposit. It will be at the discretion of a representative of Great Waltham Cricket Club whether the hirer has the security deposit returned.
  • Cancellations incurred by the hirer less than 7 days before the fixture will result in the security deposit being forfeited.
  • Great Waltham CC will notify the hirers of unfit playing conditions before 10.00am on the day of ground hire. No fee will be owed if cancellations are due to bad weather, and security deposit will be returned.
  • No refund will be issued should inclement weather curtail play once play has commenced. Full daily hire charge will be payable once play has started.

Ground Usage Policy

  • Hirers have access to both changing rooms, showering facilities, toilets and umpires changing room. Hirers are responsible for leaving these areas in a clean and tidy condition. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of the deposit.
  • Hirers have no access to the kitchen and bar areas; these will be staffed by a representative of Great Waltham Cricket Club.
  • Under no circumstances are vehicles to be driven onto the cricket ground. Please park in the car park to the right on entering the ground via the driveway.
  • Great Waltham Cricket Club accepts no liability/responsibility for injuries/accidents, thefts and damages to individuals or their vehicles that take place during the hiring.
  • Hirers are advised that it is their responsibility to provide their own first aider and adequate first aid supplies/equipment.
  • If hirers wish to livestream their matches all equipment must be provided by the hirer.  The hirer must ensure all appropriate safeguarding procedures are followed relating to the livestreaming of cricket matches.
  • A representative of Great Waltham Cricket Club will open and lock up the pavilion unless arranged otherwise.
