Navestock won the toss and elected to field. Great Waltham wanted to bat and De'ath (102) and Hill (32) started well. 62 for 0 from 9 overs. Hill was caught in the deep by a chirpy Sergeant and the game was set.

Dhanjal couldn't find his rhythm but incoming Robinson (69) could as a match winning partnership of 118 in 15 overs with De'ath changed the game. Termezi (22), Fall (24) and Cunningham (15) all contributed in the later part of the innings as Great Waltham set Navestock a massive 283 losing 6 wickets. Pick of the bowlers was Stock 1 for 27 from 6 overs.

Navestock started their innings well with Sergeant (41) and Stock (42) looking dangerous. 93 for 0 from 15 overs. With both Robinson and De'ath now in the attack this became 125 for 3 from 23 overs as the game ran out of steam a little. The home side were now looking to pick up maximum batting points. Elles (8-3-26-0), Webb (4-0-26-0) and Termizi (5-2-14-0) turned the screw as Navestock fell just short of the fifth batting point - 195 from the allocated 40 overs.

A win on the road for Great Waltham Green Caps. The league is looking interesting with a win for the visitors by 88 runs.
