Match report 2s got off to a great start to the season with a win against Navestock.

Tom Canty and Miles got us off to a solid start and Tom went on to top score with a classy 59. After a flurry of wickets the game was in the balance but Danny Killalea (50) and Chappy (28*) managed to put on a crucial 53 run partnership, getting us to a competetive score of 196.

Joe and Afnan put the pressure on from the start of the innings and thanks to some sharp catching and a Nindi run out we were in a strong position at 24-4. Navestock managed to bat themselves back into the game being 100-5 with rain clouds looming over the ground but HPO (3-18) and Joe (4-23) managed to clear up the Navestock tail just before the rain arrived with an Afnan run out sealing our first win. Special mention to HPO's spectacular one handed catch and Kieran with 3 grabs on his return to keeping.

A really solid team effort yesterday getting a win that we might have struggled to get last year. Hopefully we can take this momentum into Springfield next week!
